First race back on 2 stroke!!
This story was posted on Thumper Talk by Fiddy631. There appears to be more of these stories circulating around and thankfully more racers are deciding to switch to two-strokes. It is “borrowed” and published here for your reading pleasure.
After 6 yrs of 4 stroke racing 250f and 450, I’ve reentered the wonderful world of the 2 stroke. Its not as I remember, but better!!
The King Speaks…
The folks over at Transworld Motocross Interviewed Jeremy McGrath on video recently. Among the questions they asked him, the two-stroke question was raised as well.
Since Jeremy is sponsored by Honda, the answer seemed to be a forgone conclusion. I love it when I’m proved wrong!!

Berry draws First Blood on standard 250 M.M.X.
Whilst a family bereavement has caused its fair share of emotional turmoil for Vincent Page and Lesley White over the last week their hard-core Dunlop Maxima rider Neil Berry brought smiles to their faces over the bank holiday weekend taking a very credible 4th place overall in the O.R.P.A. two day British Championship.
Dirt Rider 2010 Yamaha YZ125 Test Impression
The 2010 YZ125 is quickly following in the tire prints of the last four YZ125 motocross bikes we’ve tested at Dirt Rider Magazine. The path goes like this: We get the bike from Yamaha, we ride it for photos and then we fight over who gets to race test it. I, smartly, won the race test spat and I’ve been riding and racing the bike at every track I can drive to since.

Direct injection keeps two-stroke alive for Bombardier in 2012
The last major bastion of the two-stroke engine appears to be in snowmobiles. Thanks to liquid cooling, electronic controls, fuel injection, sophisticated combustion techniques, and variable-exhaust-port technology, the latest avalanche of two-stroke “sled” powerplants aims to comply with the new U.S. EPA Phase 3 emissions regulations slated for the 2012 model year.
Can the two-strokes, with their impressive specific output, high power-to-mass ratio, and package benefits, hold their own against the four-stroke assault?
Jesse’s 2006 Kawasaki K125 Rebuild
Hello TwoStrokeMotocross!,
My name is Jesse Miller and I live in BC Canada. This winter I saw my Kx125 and I decided to give it a face lift. My courses at school were really easy and I had a lot of free time that I didn’t want to go to waste playing video games. So I decided to start disassembling my well used 2006 Kx125.
Motocross Media and the Two Stroke
Over the past few months many interviews with the Super Stars of Motocross seem to contain a question about two-strokes. Of course asking them what their thoughts are about them. Kind of a loaded question.
As an example, here is one that was posted on Vital MX by MXEditor – Sean Goulart where he interviewed James Stewart at the Fuel TV Studios in NYC.
