New 2011 YZ125 Spy Photos??

During the third race of the Open Dutch Championships in Gemert, an eagle-eyed photographer spotted this nice looking Yamaha. Could this be a pre-production 2011 model?

After the rash of Photoshopped fakes that circulated around the Internet in the recent past, here are photos of an actual machine. As soon as we find more information about this machine, it will be posted here.

HILLSDALE, Mich., (April 19, 2010) – In sweeping both the 50cc PW Through 6 and PW 7-8 stock and modified podiums, along with placing a rider on the podium in the 9-11 Jr. Cycle (65cc) modified and Open Through 11 classes and atop the podium in the 6-9 Super Pee Wee class, the American-made Cobra Motorcycles again laid claim to the top mini cycle manufacturer at the NMA’s Mini World Grand Prix held this past weekend in Mesquite, Nev. (formerly the Vegas Mini GPs).

The Service Honda website also contains some great in depth interviews and behind the scenes action and a complete listing of new and used motorcycles from their store.

UEM Motocross European Championships – Italy April 11

The opening round of the UEM European Championships held on 125cc machines was a complete success on many levels. According to an FIM Press Release there were a total of 66 entries for this class, significantly more than any other class for the weekend, this includes the MX1 and MX2 classes! It seems that there is a great deal of interest in the 125cc two-stroke.

Handicapping and the Four-Stroke

Over the past few years the media seems to have coined new terms to apply to two-stroke motocross machines. When the two-stroke is mentioned words like vintage and nostalgic seem to pop up. Everywhere from message board users to Ralph Sheehan and Jeff Emig on Speed Channel seem to have gotten the “memo”.

Following several recent outings on the new 250 M.M.X. Maico Internationals Dunlop Maxima Rider Neil Berry is seriously impressed with the new bike and looking forward to the season ahead. “We are still working on an array of development products for the bikes, which does leave things a little last minute, but it sure as hell keeps me on my toes and the new bike is such a completely different animal to the 09 version, from the first couple of laps I felt totally inspired by the nimbler handling and major increase in performance, its just so much fun.!”

With more major development news expected soon Maico International have now appointed several distributors in various countries and with several other companies from around the globe flying into the U.K. over the next month to discuss distribution a substantial network of global distributors is expected to be released soon.

This is part nine and the final part of the CR250 engine build and will cover head, reed valve and carburetor installation. I will also perform the initial leak down test.

The vast package of races that is the Red Bull Pro Nationals made their 2010 bow at former des Nations and Grand Prix circuit Foxhill Moto Park on the 14th of March – the supporting Fuchs Silkolene 2 Stroke British Championships ran the Open class on Saturday which saw James Noble sweep imperiously to a trio of wins aboard the steel framed Proppa.com Honda CR500. Behind him, some typically frenetic 2 stroke racing saw a frantic four-way battle for the podium with Stuart Edmonds coming out on top ahead of reigning champion Mark Eastwood, Nathan Parker and Dave Willett, a welcome sight after the series stalwart‘s lengthy absence last year with a serious knee injury – Willet would lose out on victory in the final moto by less than a tenth of a second to Noble, so that knee must be fairly well healed…
