Taddy Blazusiak Wins 2009 Endurocross Title on Two Stroke

Congratulation to Taddy Blazusiak on clinching the 2009 Endurocross Championship.

Blazusiak, is arguably the world’s top “Extreme Enduro” rider in the world right now. With this win in Denver, CO he claimed the championship with one round remaining. The series finale in Las Vegas. Taddy also has the opportunity to win the triple crown prize of $50,000. if he were to win in Vegas.

250 Two Stroke vs. 250 Four Stroke – Pro Race Wildwood...

With all the debate raging over the loss of the opportunity to see the Pro Racers compete head-to-head on 250′s, it’s great to see an actual race with very fast Expert/Pro racers competing on those very same machines. That’s right, let’s leave all the conjecture and seat of the pants guessing and watch an actual competition between the 250F and the 250 two-stroke.

This past weekend in Wildwood, NJ the Thunder in the Sand event was held on the beach, in the shadow of the Boardwalk and Amusement Park.

Mega Maico for 2010

Hardcore two stroke fans will be pleased to know that next years Maico will feature a variety of styling and performance changes to the current model range. Not wishing to give too much away Maico International, who are responsible for the progress and development are keeping pretty tight lipped about the whole situation but have confirmed the changes do include several substantial improvements including a hand made alloy tank being designed and produced by one of the world leaders in alloy tank production, Parker Fabrications (www.parker-fabrication.co.uk) who are well known for their highly regarded aftermarket Harley Davidson tanks.

Speaking earlier in the week Maico Internationals Dunlop Maxima rider and head mechanic Neil Berry said “To say I’m enthusiastic about this is understating things a little,  the 2010 Maico will be lighter and faster and well worth waiting for.

It’s Official – No 250 two-strokes in the AMA 250 F...

During the past week there was a meeting of all the major players in Pro SX/MX in southern California. It was a gathering of the OEM’s, AMA, Promoters and others to discuss new ideas for the 2010 racing season.

Regardless of the lies and marketing hype that now surrounds motocross, there are racers out there both racing two-strokes and winning. As so many people have suggested, just follow the money.

The major manufacturers want to sell four-strokes, in many cases they are the biggest advertisers in magazines and invest a great deal in professional racing. Many of them have ceased production of two-stroke machines, in effect calling them inferior.

When U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations for snowmobiles started in 2006, Ski-Doo already had its 600 H.O. SDI two-stroke engine on the snow for two years. It was considerably cleaner than regulations required and it achieved industry-leading fuel economy. The engine was light, powerful, dependable and clean.

TM Racing to release 125cc fuel injected two stroke!

Some wonderful news from Italy today.

As some of you may know the 2010 World GP series is adding a European 125cc two-stroke class to a half a dozen GPs next year. And TM Racing has four young racers that will be competing in the new series.
