Orlando, Florida, July 27, 2009 – In just one week, pro motocross racer, Joey Rossi is poised to take the podium in both the 250A and 250A Pro-Sport classes at the 2009 Air Nautiques/AMA Amateur National from Loretta Lynn Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.

Originally from San Diego, California, Joey “AT&T” Rossi, 19, is a respected A-class professional motocross racer whose latest credentials includes four (4), first place wins at the Freestone South Central Amateur Regional as well as a second place finish against forty three other A-class riders at the ultra-competitive Mill Creek Regional Qualifier. Having quickly worked his way up the ranks with top ten finishes from the Novice to the Pro Class, this will be Joey’s fourth and last time racing at the Amateur Nationals. In early 2010, Joey will be competing at the Pro Level in both the Monster Supercross Series and Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championships.

Joey will be racing the two stroke 250 A and 250 A Pro Sport at Loretta Lynn’s this year on a 2009 KTM 250 SX.

“I call him AT&T ‘cause he says hello and then says goodbye,” said the father of Trampas Parker, Motocross World Champion, during the 2009 Amateur National Area Qualifiers at Desoto Motorsports, after seeing Joey repeatedly get the hole-shot and then disappear around the first few corners.

In preparation for nationals, Joey and his father temporarily traded their San Diego lifestyle for a life on the road in an RV four months ago and set out on their journey to nationals. The two have visited over 90 cities, raced 37 tracks and competed against 341 motocross racers.  Documenting their trip with videos, photos and blogs their adventure has been rugged but the experience gained from racing on different terrain in extreme heat and humidity has strengthened Joey’s strength, stamina and determination to win the nationals.

Joey Rossi is presently training with National Champion Pro-Rider Matt Goerke at his compound in Lake Helen, Florida. Rossi and Goerke have both been fiercely training eight to ten hours a day at Goerke’s custom Supercross-style track which was built to challenge even the most talented of professional motocross riders.

“After four months of training eight to ten hours a day in heat and humidity at different tracks across the South, I’m ready for Loretta’s,” said Joey Rossi, “and I can’t wait for the competition. Bring it on.”
