A while ago dutchman, Rick Satink’s team went broke, all hopes of competing in his homeland and the final 2013 GP at Lierop faded.
Peter vd Laar from www.vdlaarracing.com , showed his tactical views and generosity again by providing Rick with some special “VdLaar”YZ250’s.
In just a week’s time tuner Ton van Grinsven dialed in the bike for the rookie-rider and he was fast during practice.
A World Championship competition is serious stuff. Due to rain, the most heavy sand-circuit in the world, was even more difficult with mud and ruts. It turned out to be perfect for a fast and fit young man on a fresh and well prepared two-stroke.
Scoring a 10th place overall and beating more than a few works-riders on 450’s is just what our world needs at this moment.
