After presenting their first ever Motocross bike in Milano, Italy, in 1974, the historic Italian brand TGM came back to racing this weekend at Fermo after a long absence. The brand, which was recently acquired by a group of passionate Italians, lined up a prototype machine in this final round of the UEM EMX 125 series which was handed to former European Champion Tim Gajser of Slovenia. This prototype was entirely made with Italian parts, except for the FOX suspensions. The 125cc engine is made by TM like the frame of the machine, even though the latter is was slightly modified.

30 years after Michele Rinaldi took the Vice World Champion Title in 1980 in the 125 class onboard a TGM, the brand takes youngster Gajser to his debut in the EMX 125 series after the 13 year old Slovenian took second in the FIM Junior World Championship 85cc.

The idea of taking a TGM bike back to racing and give young riders the opportunity to start racing in a major series was started by a group of Italian passionate people headed by Giovanni Torri of Parma, the same city where TGM has its roots. Former TGM mechanic Luigi Lazzari and Vintage Bike Registry Responsible Aldo Lavezzini complete the trio who acquired the brand and started this ambitious project, which does not foresee the production nor the sales of the TGM bikes at the moment.
